Travis turned the big 30 on the 20th! He says that he feels old and although I am three years younger than him it makes me feel old too! I made him a hamburger cake and sugar cookie french fries with frosting fry sauce! (I got the idea from
here) We had the cake and Ice cream on Sunday.
On his actual birthday, Tuesday, we went to the zoo and then on a picnic. we had a great time with just our little family.
When we got home from the picnic there was a package on the door from Ireland with a card, some money and the hat that he is wearing it says "Guinness Extra Stout" "traditionally brewed, St. James Gate Dublin" I can just see my parents buying it, my mom laughing and saying "lets get this one for Travis" and my dad saying, " ahhppmm (if you know my dad you know what sound I am talking about) Karen! that is an advertisement for beer!" hahaha!
In honor of his Birthday here are 30 things about Travis:
1. His hair grows like a weed that is why it is always so long he actually perfers it to be shorter
2. It is also as thick as weeds
3. He has a heart of gold
4. He gets teary eyed in sappy movies, especially when it has to do with kids
5. He tries to hide the above fact and would kill me if he knew I put it on here :)
6. He LOVES his garden
7. He is an amazing artist and in more ways than just pottery
8. He is a good cook
9. He really enjoys video games
10.He is picky about what he wears: no stripes, collars, button ups, graphics or excessive pockets
11.Basically all he wears is jeans, and t-shirts
12.He takes his tie off as he is walking out the door of the church
13.He is an excellent listener when he wants to be
14.He is good at strategy games, and strategy in general
15.If he wouldn't have married me he probably would have joined the military
16.He spent the first six years of his life in West Yellowstone
17.Starting at about age 9 or 10, his mom would drop him off at the top of "the Ashton hill" the hill going up to Island Park and he would walk the few miles down it, through the forest, with his shot gun and his dog to his house
18.When he was about 3 he pulled a pan of hot oil down on top of him, and had third degree burns all down his face and chest and had to be in a full body cast, he really has no scarring from it.
19.His favorite thing when he was little was to walk along the river with his dog
20.The one thing he wishes he could change about his appearance is the discoloration in his teeth
21.If he had one dream it would be to travel the world
22.His favorite food is a juicy hamburger
23.He is the best dad in the world!!!!!

26.The first 3 cows he had to take care of he gave them name, after having to butcher and eat them, the next 3 he named hamburger, steak, and roast
27.He played football and basketball in high school
28.When we meet he was in the middle of a bet with his friend that he could kiss 3 specific girls, because he met me he didn't succeed in kissing any of them :)
29.The night we met he whittled a marshmallow stick for me, I was so nervous I put it on the wrong end, we both laughed and I think that was when we decided that we might really like each other
30.When he farts you need a gas mask to survive the stink!
