parades, parades, and more parades!!

We went to the St. Anthony 24th of July parade this weekend, Malana's favorite part was the horsies. After that we went to Travis' parents house and had a BBQ. It was a fun weekend.
This is how Travis felt spending his day at a parade.

this is the reason I swear I am never going to have a sandbox.

Misc. tidbit

Malana's latest thing has been to get out a blanket, put her stuffed animals on it with pillows and tuck them in. "night, night" she says. and then she kisses them and does it all over again.

Our stake had a 24th of july party last saturday. They had a lot of fun things for the kids to do, but they were all just a little to old for Malana. We had a good time anyways, they had free food which is always good.

Malana, Sidnee and Mirinde.

Grandma's funeral

My grandma's funeral was very nice, it was a good tribute to her and everything that she has accomplished in her life. The music was especially touching. It was good to see all of my cousins and all of my siblings were able to make it for the funeral. It was very nice.

Rigby lake

Malana loves watermelon!! She ate three pieces!!

Lana and I went to Rigby lake with Alisa, her kids, Barbara and Mirinde... we had a great time.

You're too young for makeup!!

Malana found a whole container of powder foundation in our bathroom drawer. I didn't know that she had it and this is what happened.

My Grandma passed away yesterday at the age of 90. It is hard to believe that just nine months ago she was driving a car. She has been through a lot in the last nine months, she fell and broke her hip, then about a month and a half ago she had a stroke. The last month and a half were especially excruciating and it was her time to go. My grandma was always the first one on the roller coasters at Lagoon, even into her seventies. She was always up for an adventure, rafting, hiking, whatever there was to do. She was always into politics and knew exactly what was going on in the world. She knew what was fashionable and loved little girls in dresses. When we went to visit her in the above picture I had dressed Malana in pants and she kept saying " such a cute little girl and your mom put you in pants" So for the picture I put a skirt on her. My grandma always planned the best family reunions and was known for her great treasure hunts. You know that she had to be a great women because she raised my mom and she is the most amazing person I have ever met. We love you and will miss you grandma I hope you greeted grandpa the way you meet him - dancing.

We had a busy fourth of July Weekend!!! Malana was feeling better the morning of the fourth so we headed to the Ashton parade with Travis' family. Malana loved it and she especially loved the candy!
She loves to pretend that she is one of the bigger girls and Ashlyn and Sidnee are good at including her.
Alex and Malana figured out by the end that if you wave they throw you candy!

It was a fun time seeing all of Travis' old friends and spending time with his family. After the Parade we had lunch at his mom's house and then headed down to Pocatello for fireworks.
When we got to my parent's house they were both Exhausted (Travis stayed up playing X-Box until 3:00 a.m. - yikes)

At my mom's house Malana played with some more cousins, we played games in the backyard and had a barbecue.

At about 7:30 we headed to the fairgrounds to watch the fireworks.

Malana liked the candy.

She HATED the fireworks, when they started she wouldn't even let us hold her she climbed into her stroller hid her face and bawled, by the end she let us hold her but she still wouldn't look at the "pretty's". I guess I shouldn't have been surprised, she hated them last year and when I was pregnant with her she rolled and rolled in my stomach while they were going.
This isn't zoomed we were really just that close, I love the fourth of July!!!
The next day we went the the American Falls reservoir, played in the sand went on the boat and Travis even did a little wake boarding (sorry Tyler!), Thanks Benj and Tracy for taking us!!!

We had a great time but were grateful on Sunday morning to come home and get back to normal... for this week anyways!!

Happenings of the Day
I was coming home from Pocatello this morning(Travis and I went to Lagoon yesterday, it was a blast!!!!) and I had to stop at the doctors office to get my blood drawn so about half way to Idaho Falls Malana started bawling. Mind you I was alone and couldn't help her cause Travis had the other car. So I figure that it is just hot and once I get her out of the car at the doctors office she would be okay, right as we were pulling into the Dr's she threw up all over everything, her clothes, the car seat, the car, her stuffed animal, her bottle it was everywhere. So I tried calling Travis but no awnser. Luckily I had an extra set of clothes becuase we had stayed at my moms house the night before. I got her out and cleaned everything up... with wipes, disgusting!!! So I went into the Dr's office and their lab person had gone home sick so they sent me to the hospital to get my blood drawn, I am going to go tonight. But true to form Malana is sick, I think that she has a radar for holidays she gets sick every time there is a holiday I swear. Well at least if she isn't feeling better by tommorrow we got to go to lagoon.
On another note, we got our sprinklers working!!! oh happy day. and the best part is the cost, it is run off the irrigation canal which we have water rights for and it only costs us 25$ a year. Pretty sweet!!!!
p.s. For those of you who are wondering why I was getting my blood drawn Travis and I are starting fertility treatments again, so cross your fingers hopefully it won't take as long this time.
