catching up

Holy Crap, I actually have ten minutes to sit down without a baby attached to my hip or whining in my ear!  We have been busy at our house, Sephie is not the easiest baby but we love her all the same.  Her and Malana like each other alot, Malana was the first one to make Persephanie full on giggle, and any time Malana looks her way Sephie gets a huge grin and starts flailing her arms and legs!  It is pretty darn cute!
 Just hangin' out.
Yes we like each other mom.
Just plain cute!  And of course Malana couldn't just let me take a picture of Persephanie she had to get in on the action.

I signed Malana up for a Fancy Nancy party at the library this summer she thought it was (in the words of Fancy Nancy) Fabulous!  The kids all dress up like Fancy Nancy, they read books, had fancy desserts and made a craft.

And yes Sephie got to come along too.

Then we had Malana's fifth birthday party (that makes me feel so old!).  We let her choose between a party with her friends or a present from us, being our social butterfly she choose the party with her friends,  I thought that she might have a melt down after she had the party and didn't actually get a present, but she really didn't miss it at all.

She wanted a Hello Kitty party, so we made some invitations, she colored the hello kitty's, and delivered them to her friends.  I had her take them to their doors and it was so cute to watch her run to the door and back with the hugest grin on her face.

 Opening presents!

 Party gear!
 Balloon toss.
 Musical chairs
 Pinata!

Travis' mom was able to come to the party, and she was a big help with Sephie, who wasn't nearly as interested in the party.
The birthday cake!  One of the things that I really love doing is making her cake for her birthday but this year, our kitchen is still torn up and my oven quit working about a month ago, plus the Sepharoni probably wouldn't have let me do much anyway.  So Travis' mom was kind enough to buy her one, and she loved it.

I wish that you could see the balloons better.  Travis showed up from work with them that morning and Malana had the biggest grin on her face when she saw him walking up to the house with them.

On another note, Sephie has moved on to rice cereal and I can't get the spoon in and out of her mouth fast enough to keep her happy.  She had her four month check up and she was 63rd percent for weight and 93  percent for height.  She loves her food and is growing like a weed.

The doctor said that once she mastered the spoon we could move on to other solids, she just had her first taste of sweet potatoes yesterday and she thought that they were pretty great.

We have started our cooperative preschool again, and it has been a busy few weeks for me,  I helped the first week and then this week it was my turn to teach Tuesday and I was in charge of the field trip on Thursday, I am glad that it was done.  I get nervous being in charge of stuff like that, I don't know why, but I am glad that my turn is done for a while!  We went to a local pumpkin patch, where they got to ride a train do a hay maze and pick a pumpkin, Malana really enjoyed it and I think that the other kids did too.

On the train!
All of the mom's!

The chickens!
Aren't they an adorable bunch?!?!

P.S.  Malana lost one of her bottom front teeth and the other front bottom one is very loose, she has a very cute, but very grown up looking toothless smile!

housekeeping

Yes, this is still my blog, I have just removed the previous posts, I am trying to change some thing on here, I don't guarantee any updates, Sephie is a pretty demanding baby, and the blog has become more stressful than stress relieving, but maybe some day I will get back to blogging. for now adieu!
