week in review

Monday:
Our week started out on a sad note with the funeral of my Aunt LaNette.  It was a nice service in Montpelier, she will be missed.
(I don't have a picture to put on here or I would)

Tuesday:
 remember when Malana did this:
I could never get the fingernail polish off so instead I invested in some spray paint and made it into this:

I think it turned out pretty nice.

Wednesday:
We did this:
One of my favorite things about summer is the drive-in, I don't know why I just love it.  So when we saw that they were playing Toy Story 3 and Prince of Persia we decided to go.  Malana LOVED it, She has asked every day since when we can go to the big scream (screen) again.

Thursday:
Travis did this (Travis does a little of this pretty much every night) Malana loves to watch him and get a piece of her own clay to play with.

So I left them to their creation making and went to make dinner.  When I was headed outside to take some more pictures, I saw this:

hmmm..... so much for my newly mopped floors, so I followed the prints and found this:

A hand print on the bathroom door!  At this point I heard some giggling and opened the shower curtain to find this!

She was dying of laughter because she thought that she was hilarious for leaving me a trail to follow like the leprechaun had left for her, seriously it took about five minutes for her to stop laughing long enough for me to understand what she was saying.

Saturday:
We did this:

Travis was the "featured artist" at the Farmers Market, so he got a bigger spot in the middle and brought his pottery wheel so he could do it right there at the market. Lots of people stopped and watched, unfortunately not very many stopped and bought. Last week we had really good sells, It is so hit and miss the only thing that we could figure out was that it is at the end of the payday cycle and therefore people don't have much money to spend. We'll see if that theory is true after next weekend and it is the beginning of the payday cycle!

what we've been doing!

We have had a busy few weeks.  We celebrated Mothers Day:
We ( and by we I mean Travis) planted the garden:

Travis did some of this:

Okay, Travis did ALOT of that!
Then we do this every Saturday:

I took this at the end of the market as an afterthought so the tablecloths are a little crazy they usually look alot better.
Then we did some of this:
and some of this:
and maybe some of this:

@#*!!*#

Because we had 2 inches of this back-up into our basement:
Isn't that a cute picture, the real stuff ain't that cute!

Then we did this AGAIN:
because we had one of these:
leaving 4 inches of water in our basement, at least it was CLEAN water this time without any nice little floaters!
Then this silly thing:
jumped out of the car going 45 m.p.h., luckily she didn't break anything she was just scraped up pretty bad as you can tell by her eye.

BUT... things are looking up, we actually made a pretty good profit at the farmers market this week, our basement is totally clean, the dog behaves in the car now, and we will have strawberries from our garden very soon! At least that's me being optimistic that July has to be better than June was.
