My parents offered to pay for everyone's accommodations in Mexico, all we had to pay for was our plane ticket and any excursions we may have wanted to go on,. My brother and his wife had been planning the whole thing before he passed away, so we ere a little hesitant to go, but his wife told us that he would want us to go, so we went. it was a little bitter sweet because we were all thinking of him while we were there but we enjoyed the time that we had to spend together. We missed those who didn't come. The hotel was ginormous!!!!! it would take us a good ten minutes to walk from our rooms to the beach. The food was delicious( except for the gastronomy place) that was quite the culinary experience. Travis ordered strawberries in hare juice, it looked disgusting and he said it tasted even worse, but we were all about being adventurous. the rest of the restraints were delicious. We did two excursions, the first one we went to Chichen Itza and then to Ek' Balam, with lunch in the middle and a detour at a cenote ( an under ground swimming hole.). it was all amazingly beautiful, except for maybe the old guys in speedos and the old women in string bikinis we could have done without that! The second excursion we took was to coba, everyone rode bikes or road on rickshaws it was surreal. The pyramid there is HUGE, even though i was hugely pregnant, I knew it was a once in a lifetime opportunity and you better believe I climbed to the top. It was breathtaking! After taht we went to Tulum, then we went snorkeling in some underground caves! totally awesome! after that we went snorkeling to see some turtles. The resort also had a driving range, and mini golf there was so much to keep us entertained and we loved every minute of it.

I love all the pics! I still can't believe we stayed at the same hotel and just missed each other.
